Firstly, Ernesto Rodríguez, a doctoral student, presented the advances made in his doctoral thesis entitled “Effects of the use of ICT on trade under an approach based on the gravity model”, so that Prof. Laredo could give him his feedback on it.
Prof. Laredo, Director of Research at the Territoires, Techniques, Societés (LATTS) Laboratory of the Paris Ponts School and Professor of Manchester Business School at the University of Manchester, then made his presentation “Innovation policy at stake: the emperor is naked”, in which he analyzed the validity of scientific research in the field of innovation policies, and the challenges presented in this agenda of research, given the deep transformation that the economy and society are experiencing today.
